II. The Exodus

God’s answer:

Grindstone, as in they kept their noses to the grindstone.

They were too busy to look up.

Meaning: As a people, they forgot to pray. Alas, the same holds true for our time.

Question: Why did you select Moses to be the one to lead the Jews out of Egypt?

God’s answer:

Moses in a basket

He was taught to rule.

Meaning: The Israelites needed a leader. In this sculpture, God depicts the story of when Moses was an infant whom the Pharaoh’s sister rescued and adopted. Moses was thus raised as a prince. (Exodus 2: 1-10)
